Get ready

What to have in order before 15 January.

Descriptions of the register say landlords must supply a gas safety certificate, an EICR and an EPC for each property, and that the fee is £65 per property per year. Check GOV.UK for the exact, current list.

Gas safety record

Renewed every 12 months. Find the latest one for each property and note its expiry date.

EICR (electrical report)

Normally valid for 5 years. Check the date on the report, and book a new one early if it falls due soon.

EPC (energy certificate)

Valid for 10 years. You can look yours up on GOV.UK's "find an energy certificate" service.

Keep them together

One folder per property, with the dates written down, saves a scramble when your window opens.

Certlog helps you organise your own documents. It does not give legal advice and does not register properties for you. Dates as reported by Landlord Studio. Always confirm on GOV.UK, which is the official source.

Keep every certificate dated and ready.

Certlog holds your gas safety record, EICR and EPC, watches the dates, and emails you before each one runs out. Try it free for 14 days.
